Membership Types
A Membership Type defines the terms of membership — duration, dues, renewal rules, and application workflow. Examples: “Annual Member”, “Lifetime Member”, “Student Member”. Key settings include:- Duration — How long the membership lasts
- Auto-Recurring Payment — Whether renewals happen automatically
- Reminder Frequency — How often renewal reminders are sent (daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly, quarterly)
- Workflow — Approval process for applications and renewals
Workflows
Workflows control the lifecycle of a membership application or renewal:- Application Submitted → Awaiting approval or payment
- Approved / Payment Received → Membership activated
- Expiring → Renewal triggered (manual or automatic)
- Declined / Cancelled → Membership ended
Dues
Dues are financial obligations tied to a membership type. They have:- Amount and Currency
- Frequency — One-time, monthly, yearly, etc.
- Payment Schedule — When the payment is due
- Taxes — Optional tax configuration
Events
Events are meetings, gatherings, or activities organized by a chapter. They support:- Online meeting links (Google Meet, Zoom, Teams)
